new job !

Hi loves!

I need to start actually posting on this more often.... haha but anyways I got a new job at the beginning of February!! :D FINALLYYY! Well what happened was I applied for the job online on macys.com and it was for a full time position as a "beauty consultant." So I was called in for an interview and basically they told me the full time position was "frozen", whatever that means, and that they could give me an on call position and work all of the cosmetic and beauty counters. So of course I took it anyway because I needed a job so badly and it was working with makeup so how could i say no?! (: Needless to say, I love it! I've worked pretty much every counter so far and I'm loving it. Being surrounded by makeup and perfume and skin care all day, how could i go wrong? I love that I can test the makeup that they have out. When it gets slow, which happens kinda often, I can just try out different lipsticks and blushes and perfumes! I'm in makeup heaven, hahahah! I've mostly been working at Lancome which I have come to loveeeee. I'm really hoping they give me a full time position there because I love it, I love the girls that work there, I love the makeup line, I love it all. It is pretty expensive, but the makeup is such good quality you just can't pass it up!! I've already made friends at work, and I also have friends that I worked with at Target working with me too, it's so exciting! :D But yeah, I get to put makeup on people, help people with skincare problems, etc. And I seriously love itt. I can't say that enough!

Face of the day

Hey loves :)

I'm just gonna do a face of the day from yesterday. I didn't do anything, I was just bored and decided to do my makeup :)

I just did a silver and black smokey eye with hot pink on the bottom lashline.

I used my NP Set - Smoke Signals for the smokey eye, Wet n' Wild Trio in I'm Feeling Retro for the hot pink on the bottom lashline, Maybelline's The Falsies mascara in Black Drama, Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil in Zero, Avon's liquid eyeliner in Evening Black. And for my lips I used Rimmel's Airy Fairy Lipstick and a gloss on top, but I don't remember which one it was because I tried out a few different ones to see what I liked best lol.

Anyway, today I had an interview (FINALLY!) at Macy's for one of their cosmetic counters. :D But let me start from the beginning... Like 3 days ago I applied online for this job at Macys. And everything was online, no phone calls or anything. So once I finished my application and submitted it, they sent me a confirmation e-mail stating that they had received my application and that I should get an e-mail in a few days saying whether they wanted to interview me or not. So yesterday night I got an e-mail saying that they wanted to interview me and that I just had to schedule an appointment. And all of this was online too...There was a link in my e-mail to the scheduling center or whatever it was called lol. So I scheduled it for 3:45pm today. So I went there and told them I had an interview and they started calling people and whatnot. And finally this lady came over to me and was like "Well since we have no control over the scheduling since its all online... our cosmetic manager isn't here today to give you an interview, so would you be able to come in tomorrow or Sunday?" And I'm thinking in my head "How do you not have control over the scheduling? It's macys.com, and this is Macys....aren't they the same thing...? And if they aren't able to control the scheduling, don't use it! Just call and make an appointment...right?" So I was like "Yeah sure!" But yeah, I have my real interview at 2:30 tomorrow :D I'm really excited. My friend Tom works there and I haven't seen him in soooo long, and he used to work at Target with me, so I'm excited to work with him again.

I'm not sure what makeup counter their going to put me at or if I'm going to need training or whatnot, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I need a job sososoosooooo badly! I literally sit home and do nothing because I have no money to do anything. And plus all of my friends and my boyfriend are 21+ and I'm still 20, wahhhhh. So I can never go out with them :( LESS THAN 4 MONTHS!!!!! I can't wait :) Okay enough of my rambling, see yaaaa<3333

Physicians Formula Plump Potion Mascara

I bought the Physicians Formula Plump Potion Mascara in Black Potion yesterday at CVS, in the crazy 75% off sale. I didn't do a blog post about yesterdays trip because I mostly bought things for my sister for her birthday, but I did get 3 things for myself which included the Plump Potion. I was a little wary about buying this because the packaging said your lashes will be 4x fuller, 3x longer and it has a 7x plumping effect. So I really didn't believe that it did THAT much magic on your lashes, and the wand is just a normal looking wand, nothing special or exciting. But I got it anyway being that it was 75% off (;

The packaging also says that it's fiber-free, oil-free, flake-free & smudge-free. And that it uses "ActiPlump" which is an advanced lash maximizing technology.

So I tried it out today, and I was very pleasantly surprised! This stuff works!

I put a lottt of coats on, but I do that with allll my mascaras no matter what, because I like my lashes long and volumized!  So the more coats of this Plump Potion you put, the more luscious your lashes will be.

I have some pictures, but they were taken with my Droid so I'm sorry if their not that great.

But I curled my lashes before I put the mascara on, and on the eye that has no mascara I also curled my lashes.

I went to another CVS and I hit the jackpot! They had such good deals on what was left, and I went a little crazy (especially since I don't have a job!!) More makeup shopping - CVS 75% off makeup!

So I've seen on a few blogs and youtube videos that CVS is having a 75% off sale on makeup! I am definitely going there tomorrow! And I actually just clipped a few coupons for drugstore makeup brands so maybe i can get an even better deal?! I'm really excited, even though i do not need any more makeup at alllll, but this is a good opportunity to try out some new things that I haven't tried before. And maybe I'll buy some things for my first giveaway since I'm at 144 subbies and I'm doing a contest/giveaway at 200! :) I'm really excited for that too! But yes if I go to CVS tomorrow I will put pictures up of what I got :)

I keep saying this...

I keep saying I'm going to update this more often and make it a beauty blog, and I still haven't done it... I even downloaded the blogger app for my droid so I could update on the go. Lol well it still hasn't happened, but I'm going to make it happen soon! I'm currently unemployed since I worked at Sephora for like 2 weeks for seasonal and then they decided to not schedule me anymore and not even tell me. So I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm going to try and keep up with this blog!!! Right now it's snowing out so I'm kinda trapped in my house. I'm going to try to do some sort of beauty blog today, later on, but I'm not sure what I should do... hmmm? Once I think of ideas they will be put into blog form! :) Enough of my rambling for now, look out for a beauty blog in the near future!!!

It's been a whole month!

Omg it's been a whole month since I've blogged! Wow. I've just been so busy with school and finals, and finding a job since I'm unemployed :( Let's see what's new with my life... Well I've pretty much just been trying to find a job. I've applied at Sephora, Jared, and Metropark so far but that was like Nov. 18ish. Sephora never called me, so I called them and they said that their manager wasn't there at the time and that they'd tell her the next day when she was working to call me back. And they took my name and number and everything and I STILL haven't gotten a call from them. I just think that's unprofessional, at least call me and tell me you're not hiring. Now at Jared you have to take 2 tests and if you fail them they won't hire you. Well apparently I failed one of them. All the questions were opinion and true or false questions so it seemed like there was no way to fail, but I guess I answered one question the wrong way and they thought I was lying or something, I don't know. And Metropark never called me either. Sooooo yeah I'm poor and jobless. Everyone keeps telling me to go back to my old job (Target) but truly I'd rather gouge my own eyes out with a spoon. That place is absolutely terrible. Don't get me wrong I loooove shopping there, but working there is terrible. I worked there for 3 and a half years and they treated me like shit the whoole time. It's the management, cuz I absolutely love my coworkers, they're like my second family. Every time I go in there to shop they're all like "JACKIIEEE COME BACK WE MISS YOUUUUUU!!" Buuuut no I can't do that to myself, too much stress. Anywaaaaayyy enough of my ranting. Something exciting that I did recently was that I got a new desk for my room! It's exciting for me because I actually have room for alllll my makeup and school stuff all on one desk :) Here's a few pictures:

i haven't blogged in a while!

i'm sorry! i have been soooo busy with work and midterms at school. and also these have been my last few days at work soo i've been looking for a new job! i think i'm going to apply at places at the mall like macy's, sephora, victoria's secret, etc. i know it will most likely just be for seasonal help but hopefully they will keep mee :D so for halloween i did absolutely nothing! all i did was do my sisters and her friends makeup for their costumes. all my friends are 21 so they either went out on halloween or went out friday or saturday so they didn't wanna do anything for halloween. oh wellllll. next halloween i'll be 21 :D wahhooooo! i can't wait til i'm 21!!
i'm going crazy at work right now cuz i'm waiting for something to load, and its literally been an hour and it hasn't even started yet, it's "preparing to copy". and this is only my first thing i have to copy. it's gonna be a looooonnnnggg day. waahh :( i really don't know what to do with myself lol. i wish i brought nail polish so i could paint my nails since they are all chipping and nasssstyy. wellppp that's it for now. seee yaa later<3

i hate making titles.

heeeeyy guys. i'm at work once again and can't focus once again, except this time i made it to 2pm! yayy haha :P so when i walked into work there was someone asleep on one of the chairs in the room i work in. (i'm an intern at an advertising firm so they kinda just threw all the interns in a random room with 2 computers, 2 tables and chairs and 2 like giant comfy-looking chairs) so yeah there was a random person sleeping on one of the comfy chairs covered in their jacket, so i couldn't see their face. i was freaked out at first but the person was small so i thought it might be somebody's kid that they brought to work with them. but yeah long story short it was some lady named judy who works here. i have no idea why she was sleeping in here but yaaa that was my excitement for today.

the window guys are STILL at my house so my jeter baby still has to be locked up :( he's used to it by now and is used to all the loud noises but i still feel bad for him.

anywayyys, today after work i plan on going to cash my paycheckkk $$$$ wahhooo moneeyyy. yeah not really, i don't make much money at all here -.-  . i also wanna go to walmart and check out the hard candy cosmetics :) annndd i think i might make my first youtube video :O ahhhhh! i got a bunch of stuff online from e.l.f and some other websites and i think im gonna make a haul video :) i'll probably put the pictures of all the stuff i got on here. i'm excited :D okay thats enough for nowww, see yuh laterrrrr<3

at work!

heyyyyyy everyone, i'm at work once again. and i can't focus so i'm gonna blog :P so yesterday the yankees won !! they have to win the next 2 games in the playoffs to go to the world series! wahoo :) but i dont know where i'm going to watch the world series, if they get in, because cablevision took channel 5 away >:O grrrrrr! but anyways i'm bored at work and i took some pictures with my webcam, heres one:

but yeahh, we're getting new windows put in my downstairs so jeter, my kitten, has to be locked in my room :( he's so mad at me lol and he was so scared this morning because the guys were using some sort of obnoxiously loud saw to take the old windows out. and jeter did not like that at allll. he was hiding on my trundle bed under my bed. i feel so bad, i wish i could have brought him to work with me, haha!

he's such a cute little kitten :) and he's so good. he acts like a dog though lmao, he watches what my dogs are doing and then he does what they do. like one time my dogs were sitting in front of me begging for my food that i was eating so jeter decided he wanted to beg too so he sat next to me on the couch and started begging, it was so funny. he's my first cat and i've never been a cat person, but thats kinda a long story so i'll save that for another day. but i'm definitely a cat person now, even though he's pretty much a dog in a cats body hahah.

bored at work :/

hey guys! well i'm at work right now and i'm really bored. i'm waiting for a program to load and it's taking forever! so i'm watching youtube videos and blogging haha. i'm watching makeup tutorials and makeup giveaway videos :) today is going to be a longgg day, tuesdays always are - i hate tuesdays! i have work until 3:00 and then i run home real quick and then i have my graphic design class at 4:30 until about 5:45 and then i have my art history class at 6 until about 8:45! verryyy long day for me :( well this is my second post and i'm starting to like this :) i never thought i'd like to blog but i do! talk to you guys soon! <3
